Ripe For Revival’s mission is to Revive Communities through Food by bridging the gap between farm excess and food access. We combat food insecurity through our Mobile Markets, which bring fresh, locally sourced produce, proteins, and dairy directly into underserved neighborhoods using a pay-what-you-can model, ensuring dignity and affordability for all. In addition, our Easter and Christmas food distributions provide families with fresh boxes of healthy food, while nutrition and culinary education programs equip communities with tools for long-term health and well-being.

The Mobile Market Program brings fresh produce and local food directly to underserved food deserts while operating as pay-what-you-can. Beyond food access, the markets emphasize health education, economic development, and community empowerment throughout North Carolina.

The Provisions Program includes large-scale distributions assembling thousands of boxes filled with fresh produce and local food to serve families a meal during the week of Easter and Christmas.

The Culinary Program brings nutrition education and culinary skills directly into the heart of these underserved communities. By offering hands-on cooking classes, nutrition workshops, and food safety training, we empower residents with the knowledge and tools they need to make healthier food choices with the limited resources available to them.

As of now, the Mobile Market schedule is shared on social media (Instagram and Facebook) every Sunday. You can also subscribe to our weekly newsletter. It is sent out on Tuesdays.

The Mobile Market is open to everyone and operates on a pay-what-you-can model. Community members enter the market, grab a shopping bag (or bring their own), and select fresh produce and locally sourced foods. Prices are set approximately 20–30% lower than the average grocery store to provide flexibility and access.

At checkout, a Mobile Market Associate will share a suggested total, and each shopper is invited to pay what they can. Community members are also encouraged to pay it forward to help support a neighbor. At the Mobile Market, community supports community.

There are numerous volunteer opportunities! From the Mobile Market Program, Provisions, or the Culinary Program – there is a volunteer opportunity for everyone and every age.
